Subject: *"How to Do Distributed Adaptive Control"
Additional Information: Presentation (PDF)

This talk presents the mathematical structure underlying distributed adaptive systems, and shows how to exploit that structure for distributed adaptive control. It begins by providing some necessary background from information theory and optimization theory. This background is then used to derive the mathematics of distributed adaptive control. It is then shown how to translate that mathematics into concrete algorithms. Amongst other advantages, these algorithms are applicable in almost any domain, need not involve any domain-knowledge, and can accomodate multiple simultaneous control objectives. The talk ends with some computer experiments validating those algorithms.
