Abstract:
In today’s complex environment, decision makers are faced with the DRIP problem (Data Rich-Information/Insight Poor). One challenge is how to make sense from Big Data, especially in the scientific, engineering, and financial domains. Based on Dr. Liebowitz’s recent books, the talk will highlight some of the trends, challenges, applications, and research issues associated with Big Data, Analytics, and Intuition-Based Decision Making in the NASA-related domains.
