The National Institute of Aerospace (NIA) has an opening for a Postdoctoral Associate to work in the general area of computational fluid dynamics. Successful candidate will work with an established team of computational and experimental researchers at NASA Langley Research Center.
Requirements:
- PhD degree or equivalent in Engineering or Applied Mathematics
- Minimum 3 years of graduate level (post-baccalaureate) research experience, working in computational fluid dynamics
- Familiarity with state of the art CFD research
- Experience in one of the following topic areas: hypersonics, high-performance computing, high-order methods, design with CFD, grid generation or computational elasticity
Desired Skills:
- Programming experience in parallel computational environments
- Experience in development and/or application of CFD codes in FORTRAN (77/90/95) and or C or C++
The initial appointment will be for one year with possible renewals to multiple years. Screening of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
