The project involves the structural modeling and analysis of advanced exploration systems. The research will include developing and analyzing structural concepts and models for Lunar surface systems that are part of future human Lunar architectures currently under study by NASA as a part of the Vision for Space Exploration.  Research activities will focus on developing and analyzing payload handling techniques in a lunar environment and may also include developing better modeling tools and methods to support concept development.
