NIA is partnering with Nortel LearniT to develop and implement a pioneering approach to preparing our nation’s educators for a 21st century approach to teaching Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). By focusing on the Six Principles of 21st Century eTeaching implemented in our lesson plans, NIA and Nortel LearniT train teachers on how to use an experiential approach to inquiry-based teaching. Coupling NIA expertise in science, engineering and mathematics with Nortel LearniT’s technology integration resources creates a powerful environment for teachers to build their 21st century teaching skills.
