Pre-Service Teacher Annual National STEM Workshop, February 12-14, 2009 Washington, DC area
THEME: Celebrating NASA’s 50 Years: Past, Present and Future
The Pre-Service Teacher STEM Workshop is held each winter and hosts several hundred prospective elementary and middle school teachers from selected Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs), Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs), and some majority institutions. Students and faculty are exposed to invigorating general sessions and hands-on workshops with STEM experts. The PSTSC also includes a juried poster contest, vendors, and a Professional Development Expo where students have the opportunity to meet with recruiters from graduate shools and public school systems from across the country. Students are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes.
This year, in addition to our partnership with the National Institute of Aerospace and Hampton University, we are partnering with the Ed Tech Collaborative to host a pre-Workshop discussion about the annual poster competition. Join us at
