Report and Presentation Submission Guidelines

• Teams are encouraged to review the Project Evaluation Form to better understand how the Steering Committee will be judging this competition.

Written Reports:

Each team must submit a written report through the online submission tool by the deadline of May 27th.  The online tool will be activated after teams are notified on February 25, 2011 that their abstract has been selected to compete in the 2011 RASC-AL forum.  Written reports are due on May 27, 2011. 

Written Report Guidelines:

10 – 15 pages (Cover page, references and appendices excluded in page minimum); singled space

Cover page must include: Title of presentation; Full names of all team members; University name; and faculty advisor’s full name

Reports will be distributed to the Steering Committee for review. The appendices are not included in the page limitation and the Steering Committee is not obligated to consider lengthy appendices in the evaluation process.

Oral Presentations:

Each team must submit copies of the oral presentation.  Oral presentations are due no later than May 27th.

Oral presentations should be based off of written reports. If errors were discovered after the written report was submitted, teams should take this time to address them. Significant information discussed during the oral presentation that was not included in the written report will be penalized for scoring.

Oral Presentation Guidelines:

Presentations limited to 30 minutes. The team’s E/PO activity must be discussed during this 30 minutes

Each presentation is followed by a 10 minute Q & A session

Each presentation file must include: Title of presentation; University name; and faculty advisor’s name

Requests for specific presentation schedule must be submitted in writing to the program manager no later than May 6, 2011. Request of schedule is based on travel and logistics only.

Poster Presentation:

Each team is required to present posters describing their project. Each team will be given one 6’ table. Posters must be free standing and able to fit on this table.
If you would like for us to provide your team with a foam, tri-fold poster board, we can do so at no charge.  Posters are 48” x 36” and made of foam. Please let us know if you will be needing an electrical outlet.
