The National Institute of Aerospace Foundation supports and promotes the advancement of, and furthers the aims and purposes of the National Institute of Aerospace (NIA). The NIA Foundation, at the discretion of the Board of Trustees, accepts, administers, applies, and uses properties acquired by gift, grant, devise, bequest, or otherwise to advance the purpose of the Foundation.

The NIA Foundation is funded by grants from NIA along with gifts, grants, devises, bequests, and other contributions.
