The outreach program at NIA is intended to aid in the development of a well-educated workforce in science and engineering for NIA, NASA and the nation. The focus of this program is to help ensure that the best and brightest students maintain an interest in science and technology. We must make certain that this future talent draws from the largest possible pool of future students and must include under-represented minorities. A substantial part of the NIA outreach program is dedicated to teacher training and enhancement activities that will keep middle and high school students interested in science and technology.
