Research > Airspace Research

Our research in aviation safety focuses on advancing the use of information for the next generation of air traffic control.  We are interested not only in how information technology in inserted into control towers and on flight decks but also in how the technology can make the information more manageable and useful to air traffic controllers and pilots.  This is a new area at NIA where new researchers are joining us; especially in human factors research.
