Meet Dr. Alain Dupas |
|
Dr. Alain Dupas is an international expert in space technologies, industries and policies as well as in defense and information technologies and industries. Since 2004, he has been the Director of Strategic Studies in Collège de Polytechnique in Paris. Trained as a physicist, in 1977 he received a Doctorat d'Etat from Université Paris-XI/Orsay. He is one of the founders of a multidisciplinary teaching program in the Université of Versailles-St Quentin en Yvelines, where he is conducting research and teaching courses on "Relationships between Strategies and Technologies" and on methodologies for systems analysis. He is a Fellow of the Space Policy Institute of the George Washington University (Washington D.C.). He has specialized in international space policy studies, with a focus on human spaceflight and exploration, and strategic space applications. He was also a permanent advisor to CNES between 1982 and 2003.
