Meet the Instructor: Dr. Alan W. Wilhite |

Dr. Wilhite is the Langley Distinguished Professor of Advanced Aerospace Systems Architecture in the School of Aerospace Engineering at Georgia Tech and also serves as the co-Director of the Georgia Tech Center for Aerospace Systems Engineering (CASE). He currently resides at the National Institute of Aerospace in Hampton, Virginia teaching graduate classes and conducting research in systems engineering, robust design, aerodynamics, propulsion, MDO, operations, cost, and risk at NASA Langley Research Center supporting NASA’s Space Exploration Vision. He has numerous published articles and several book chapters in these areas. He is an AIAA Associate Fellow and has served on several AIAA Technical Committees such as Aircraft Design, Space Transportation and Computer Aided Design. He is also a member of the International Astronautical Federation. He has served as a researcher, systems program manager, and senior director in the design and development of NASA space and aeronautic systems.
