Meet the Instructor: Prof. Robert Tolson  
Dr. Tolson has over 45 years of experience working in the fields of space flight mechanics, lunar and interplanetary trajectories, orbit determination, guidance and navigation. He has been a PI, Co-I or analyst on numerous missions including Lunar Orbiter, Viking, Pioneer Venus Orbiter, Venus Magellan, Mars Global Surveyor, Mars Odyssey, and Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. He has taught relevant classes for over 20 years at GWU, UMD and NCSU and graduated 2 PhD's and over 70 MS. He has over 50 refereed publications and numerous other publications and presentations.
